An Unexpected Connection

The most thrilling days of the Venice Carnival are approaching, and this year’s edition celebrates 300 years since the birth of Giacomo Casanova — an adventurer, writer, poet, alchemist, esotericist, Freemason, diplomat, scientist, philosopher, and even a secret agent! A true citizen of the Republic of Venice.
Born in Venice in 1725, Casanova’s incredible journey ended in the Czech Republic, where he spent his final years in Duchcov, just 100 km from Prague. His last words before departing this world were:
"Great God, and you, witnesses of my death, I have lived as a philosopher and die as a Christian."
For those looking to escape daily life and step into a world beyond time, Venice is the place to be! And... don’t miss out on a tour of the "bacari"! 🍷
